PODCAST: INTERVIEW WITH PEDRO ALMODOVAR

Here is one of the most famous producers of Spain, who will answer some questions.

1. Where are you from?

I borned in Calzada de Calatrava, Ciudad Real in 1949.

2. When did you start with this?

I began when I was young. When I went at the first cinema of my village I was 8 and I started to write comics scripts when I was 16.

3. Had you got a lot of opportunities?

No, because I can’t study in the Escuela Oficial de Cine ‘cause Franco has just closed it and I have to worked a lot to buy my first camera.

4. What topics predominates in your movies?

The topics that are appearing more in my movies are love and suffering but I also tell about the society.

5. What are the sources of your imagination?

I’m inspired from nature, experiences, history and literature.

6. Is your family influence on your work?

No, I don't look in my family when I write scripts, but when the characters in the script is for a family I look at families in general.

7. How do you design your films?

I based the films in the actual history situation and I mix this with the past. In this context I developed an other story with a different topic. I relate an history topic with a sentimental.

8. What is your best success in your opinion?

“La piel que habito” and “Volver” I think that are a excellent film.

9. Can you tell we an anecdote?

Yes of course! One day when we were at a repetition the dog of one of the cameraman nibbled and slobbered the actors scripts.

10. Are you preparing an other film?

No at the moment.

NEWS ABOUT CATALAN DONKEYS

In the past few years, the Catalan donkeys became the symbol of nationalist identity in Catalonia. They are tall, have a short coat and erect ears and they have placid temperament.
In the olden days, the donkeys were facing extinction and Joan Gassó brought all the specimens and put them together in one place. Gassó created a largest reserve of Catalan donkeys: Fuibes in Olvan.


Now the Catalan donkey has been exported around the world.

ORAL PRESENTATION ABOUT POLAR BEARS

HABITAT

The polar bear is a mammal that lives in the polar regions of the world. We found them in the Wrangel island, in the north-west of Alaska, in Greenland, in the arctic archipelago of Canada and in the north of Siberia.

MORPHOLOGY

Is the biggest land carnivorous. An adult male measured 2'5 m long and weighs between 400-600g. The hair of the polar bear is long, thick and white, and under his thick hair there is a layer of fat from 10-15cm.

DIET

It eats all the arctic animals except foxes and wolves, but his favourite food are baby seals and reindeers.

It eats approcimately 30 kg of food a day.

REPRODUCTION

Mating is done in September and a polar bear have only two months of gestation.

The youngs live with their mother until 2 years old, and a polar bear can live until 30 years old.

RISK

The climate impact affect his habitat so the polar bear is in a danger of extinction.

 

MY OBJECTIVE

When I will finish batxillerat I would go to the university of Barcelona (UAB) to study veterinary. The career of veterinary is five years of studies. It's a long time but I suppose it will be different of batxillerat there will not Catalan, Spanish, philosophy, sport, etc., that I don't like. When I looked at the subjects of this career I saw it was all related to biology. I thought it was fantastic because I love it, but then I saw there were also math and physic during the first year. I hate that, but in a career in science is required.

If I want to do this career I have to study hard during these two years of batxillerat because I will need high marks to entry into the university to study this. Most diffiult subjects for me are math and chemestry, so during periods of exams I have to study hard and I'm very tired.

Well, is my objective so I have to work hard to get it.

Hi!

My name is Sarah Bono and I will be eighteen next month. I live in Empuriabrava but I was born in France. I came here when I was six years old and I have done my studies here.

I repeated 3rd and 4th of ESO but during these two years I've matured and now I want to study science and do the career of veterinary. I always wanted to do that 'cause I like all the animals, I have animals: a cat, a dog and I had a horse; so to be able to cure them I think would be something fantastic. They are all differents and each brings something .

This year I would work hard because I want to pass with good marks.

Apart from studiyng I do sport. I ride hors since I was eight and last year I started play football.

So with that I finish to talk about myself.
